When I ordered this glue gun, I ordered it because the ones I had tried dripped after a while and I wanted one that did not do that. This one does not drip (just like it claims) very much, but there is a design flaw that I wish I had thought about before ordering it. The small stand is very hard to get to stand up when you are not using it and it is also very hard to set the gun back down when you are using it on something that you cannot let go of. You have to have both hands to set the gun down because of the stand. It flips up under the "barrel" when you are using it and has to be flipped back down to set the glue gun upright, which like I said in my first point, is very hard to get balanced anyway. When it is sitting upright, it is very wobbly and does not take very much at all to fall over. Like I said, the design for sitting it upright needs improvement.Pros: Less dripping than others I have tried Full handle is better and more comfortable than the triggers most have Easy to re-load when held straight up and down with the new stick in the guideCons: Doesn't get as hot as some I have had but it is adequate Very poor design for stability when not in use Extremely poor design for having to flip the stand up and down between uses Hard to balance the gun on the stand and handle (handle is very small area to balance gun)I wish I had known everything I know now before ordering because I don't think I would have ordered this one if I had read a review with this information in it. It does drip less which was one of the biggest things I was looking for, but the instability and awkwardness of sitting the gun down between uses is very irritating.Good value. Needed a glue gun for larger jobs. Works well for that purpose. Heats quickly and was able to continuously put out large amounts of glue. Comfortable to use for extended periods of time.Would like additional tips, glue bead is thick and you tend to get more than necessaryI have a love/hate relationship with this glue gun. I like that it heats up more quickly than the other ones I've tried and it has a finer nozzle so I can get a thinner line of glue than with other ones. What I really love though is that it is very comfortable to use. I tried Surebonder, Stanley, and Adhesive Tech guns and they were always harder for me to squeeze than this one and since I sometimes use this all day long, that is a major consideration for me.What I don't like is that they always end up dripping after a while. Looking back at my orders, I've gone as little as 6 months and also nearly 3 years before it starts dripping. I don't mean an occasional drip which I have gotten with every glue gun, but a fairly constant drip that creates a 2 inch Devil's Tower. And as for the stand, I have a glue gun holder so that is not an issue for me. (Which is why I can get a 2" high stack of glue in case you were wondering.) I think I would go nuts if I had to use the stand though, constantly flipping it back and forth.I have thought about trying an expensive, more professional glue gun, but I hesitate because I may end up with an 80 dollar drippy glue gun or one that is uncomfortable to use for hours..I bought mine over a year ago and barely used it today for the first time for a Halloween project. It works as do others, but, and this is a BIG BUT. It is very unstable. You can use it and very careful setting it on the table but a slight move will cause it to fall. The stand/ glue catcher, I thought it was nice at first but after i started using the gun. I hated it every time I picked up the gun. You constantly have to move it back out the way when you are gonna glue and put it back when you are gonna set it down. Last but not least, it drips a lot of glue I had so much glue on my table from it tipping over constantly and on the kick stand/ glue catcher i had blobs of harden glue on there as well and it was hard to pry out. It did ruin part of my project which i had to redo because of the constant glue drip. It's a nice looking gun, but the quality isn't there. Just wished I had used it when I bought it so I would be able to return it.This is my 3rd glue gun and I will be sticking with this type from now on.Firstly for people getting drips lay your gun on its side. I would assume gravity and the wide nozzle are the biggest factors. To get less drips you would have to trade for less continuous flow because they would have to either dial down the nozzle tip, or the heat/glue viscosity. The long caulk gun style trigger is also something that I like.I do a good bit of hot gluing and the small triggers tend to get on my nerves. The smaller surface area my old one pressed right into the crease of my pointer finger and was kind of annoying after extended sessions.I wanted a high flow high heat gun, and I have a work area so if it ever starts to drip (not happening so far) then it wont be a problem. For 14$ I couldn't be happier.Ordered this gun and it arrived defective. I was super ticked off and wound up covering my desk in hot glue trying to fix it. Requested a replacement from Amazon which arrived 3 days later. Works fine...it's a hot glue gun...nothing to special about it just glues things and goes about it's day. Thankful to Amazon for their quality customer support. I didn't have to pay for the return shipping and wasn't on the phone bickering with a customer support agent. 4 stars to glue gun....5 stars to AmazonBad points:1, the gun is 40w not 100w. The 40w output is clearly marked on the side of the gun. You can buy a 100w version. This is not that one. It also states only standard glue sticks can be used.2, the stand/drip tray is made from a plastic the glue sticks to, thus my drip tray is now filled with glue I cannot remove.3, the stand has to be in the up position to use the gun but it is very difficult to put into the down position with one hand so gluing something and then holding it in place whilst the glue sets means you have to use one hand to hold the gun. Very poor design!!!Good points:1, the gun is ready to use in a minute.2, the gun can be used for several minutes after being in plugged from the mains which means you can use it away from a socket.3, the trigger is brilliant and it is very controlled so applying the glue is a joy.Not good, received a glue gun with non Uk plug, trigger mechanism very stiff and not feeding the glue stick in well.Has now died in less than 6 months of occasional use. Not sure if the product sent was a genuine arrow glue gun as my previous genuine arrow glue gun lasted 10-12 years that looked slightly different when compared and had no issues with feed and much better plug and cord. Very disappointed with this product.Only lasted 14 months, then POP sound, fused the plug, and same again when fuse replaced. Also: gluestick ratchet/trigger mechanism often failed to get any grip on gluesticks, therefore requiring two-handed operation, one hand to hold the gun, other hand to shove the stick manually into the back of the gun.Good product, uses a good sized glue stick instead of those dinky ones so I really liked that. Nice design, good feed, cable length is a little on the short side. Doesnt have an on-off switch or temperature control but to be expected from a model this price. very happy, would buy againHas worked very well so far. My first glue gun so nothing to compare it with but so far it's come in very useful for a variety if things such as sealing the backs of bamboo canes for a bee house and repairing a crack in a plastic watering can!
